Rose Wangui got married at very young age. She did not make it to go to school because her parents could not afford it. Raised by her grandmother, Rose was forced to sell illicit brews at a very young age and that’s where she met a man who took her in as a wife. She got pregnant and things changed in their marriage. Her husband would always suspect she had other men and because of that, he burned her face with boiling tea so that no man would find her attractive . She left the marriage and because she has a child, she needed to look for ways to feed her child and that is how she started off as a sex worker.
Life has been hard for her and her sister. In as much as she tries to get other jobs, the society around her judge her and condemn her. All she is seeking for is a fresh start in a new environment for her and her children
