Know your endemic, know your response: Understanding and responding to the COVID-19 transition to endemicity
Malaysia is expected to move from Covid-19 pandemic into the endemic phase by the end of October 2021. This essentially means unlike SARS Cov-1, SARS Cov-2 or Covid-19 virus will not disappear. Rather man and Covid-19 virus shall continue to co-exist; quoting Shakespeare, “misery acquaints a man with strange bedfellows”.
This half day webinar is aimed at sharing with the practitioners and the public, ways to keep a tight rein on Covid-19 with the phase transition from a pandemic to an endemic. Local and foreign speakers of different backgrounds such as public health, pharmacy and biomedical sciences will cover topics on how to live with the virus and realise self-responsibility to reduce the infection, workplace challenges during the covid-19 endemic era, better management of infected persons, and way forward in the quest of finding more efficacious and broad-spectrum vaccines.
